Recoil check valve - Single Door, PN16
Single door fast-acting non-slam recoil swing check valve is ideal for systems in which rapid flow reversal exists, suitable for both potable and waste water applications.
The high eccentricity design ensures the rapid closure to reduce the damaging phenomena of water hammer and reduced slam. Variants include; multi-door, higher pressure ratings and flow sensing switches.
Product Information
Recoil check valve - Single Door, PN16
Recoil check valves are specialised non-return valves designed to safely prevent backflow in systems that encounter rapid flow reversal. These valves are engineered to respond quickly to changes in flow direction, minimising the risk of damaging transient events such as water hammer.
Recoil check valves typically have an eccentric design that promotes reduced disc travel, enabling rapid response to flow changes that helps to prevent recoil valve slam.
When fluid flows in the desired direction, the valve opens to allow passage. When flow reverses, the valve door quickly closes to prevent backflow.
These non-return valves are ideal for use in high flow, high pressure applications such as pumping stations, industrial water systems and water treatment plants.
Compared to other non-return valves, recoil check valves offer faster response times, superior protection against pressure surges, enhanced durability to withstand high pressure flow and easier to maintain thanks to having fewer moving parts.
