The Problem
T-T Controls and Automation were approached by a local firm who needed a large number of control panels certified for use in industrial environments for local manufacturer Moorland Engineering.
The end-user's aim was to reduce their site’s energy consumption and extend the life expectancy of their existing machines and motors. The fast-paced nature of the manufacturing facility meant that downtime had to be kept to a minimum, with panels produced quickly and ready for immediate installation once delivered to the site.
The workforce, materials and quality assurance required of this project would have proved difficult for smaller businesses to meet, however our controls experts were equipped with all the necessary resources and experience to fulfil the order.
The Solution
With ample materials, parts and space at T-T HQ’s dedicated Controls Workshop, our team were able to batch build 63 control panels with various motor ratings on a consistent rolling production schedule for optimal time efficiency.
The production process was followed by a round of rigorous test procedures, completed in-house, that ensured each panel was functioning as intended to prevent any complications upon delivery.
Site downtime was lowered even further as our experts completed basic programme settings on each panel prior to despatch so that they were ready for immediate installation upon delivery to the site.
