Clean Water Pressurisation Set for Animal Sanctuary
The T-T Pumps team were delighted to fulfill an urgent order for a complete water boosting set for Port Lympne Safari Zoo.
Owned by The Aspinall Foundation, an animal conservation charity dedicated to protecting endangered animals and returning them to wilderness reserves, the sanctuary is renowned for protecting over 900 rare and endangered animals in rural Kent; including lions, tigers, giraffes, gorillas and the largest herd of black rhinos in the UK.
The 600-acre site was in the midst of building new glamping cabins that would allow visitors to see the animals up-close when our team received their initial enquiry in late February.
Travis Perkins, working on behalf of Ian Williams Ltd, contacted T-T in need of water supply equipment for the safari’s new accommodation. The site was working to a very tight deadline, with equipment needing to be delivered fast in order for the new cabins to open to the public as scheduled.
After assessing the parameters and needs of the site – such as the distance that water will be pumped and the expected maximum capacity of the new cabins – our experts specified the equipment required for the job and the official order was received on March 1st with a due date of early April.
With only a month to go, the team selected a WRAS approved Hidro Boost Clean water pressurisation unit with two 6000 litre storage tanks and a mild steel kiosk.
Our team chose a DA VX 1-10 model Hidro Boost as it met the maximum flow rate needs of the site, providing a pressurised flow of clean water to guests staying in the new cabins with high-capacity storage tanks to ensure consistent pressure during periods of high demand.
In order to ensure safe and uninterrupted operation, a mild steel kiosk was supplied with the booster set to securely house its electrical components. The protective accommodation is rated IP55 weatherproof and comes complete with locking arrangements to prevent vandalism or injury to the public.
T-T Sales Engineer Les Manning led the project coordination and the units were safely delivered to site on April 9th, meeting the deadline and resulting in a very happy client.
